So grateful to attend the Memories of Migration conference at CSUF, a multi-state effort to document and preserve a record of the diverse stories of contemporary migration.
Memories of Migration is a three-year, library-based community memory program funded by the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to build community connections and cultural heritage collections through documenting the stories of migration in America.
"Publishing a volume of verse is like dropping a rose-petal down the Grand Canyon and waiting for the echo."

Many thanks to the Santa Ana Library, History Room team for their devoted time and energy in documenting a timeline of my life, and specifically my contributions as a member of the Santa Ana Police Dept. and community-at-large.
What makes this significant to me is that up until now articles, documents, photos and other archival information had somehow been overlooked, removed or buried. (An article written by my wife is posted in the Vault with an explanatory overview)
"Imagine the greatness of this gift - if you were the recipient of these love lines - bound to be read over and over again and felt in your soul. Walt Disney said it well: There is more treasure in books than in all the pirates' loot on Treasure Island...and the best of all...you can enjoy these riches every day of your life.
These are the thoughts I had after reading Lamb's first volume of poetry, which are so articulate and heartfelt. Then came volume 2, another more surprising set of love lines that make me want to see and read volume 3."
